Dr. Ellen Lee is a Lecturer in Educational Psychology and Special Education at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), School of Education. Her research focuses on applying Cognitive Load Theory to support students with disabilities in learning environments, emphasizing inclusive and special education practices. She teaches courses such as EDST2044 (Motivation in Learning/Teaching), EDST4084 (Managing the Classroom), EDST5303 (Learning and Problem Solving), and EDST5321 (Motivation in Education).
Her research interests include optimizing educational strategies for students with disabilities, leveraging Cognitive Load Theory to enhance learning outcomes, and advancing pedagogical practices in special and inclusive education. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at UNSW and is based in the Arts, Design & Architecture building (G20 Morven Brown).
