Dr. Ellen Gould Chadwick serves as Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and Director of the Section of Pediatric, Adolescent and Maternal HIV Infection at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. As an attending physician in Pediatric Infectious Diseases since joining Northwestern in 1985, she leads clinical care for HIV-affected pediatric populations and directs the Illinois Perinatal HIV Hotline providing 24/7 consultation for obstetric and pediatric providers.

Dr. Chadwick's research centers on Pediatric HIV/AIDS with pioneering work in antiretroviral therapy optimization, prevention of mother-to-child transmission, and long-term health outcomes in perinatally infected youth. Her leadership in the NIH-funded IMPAACT network focuses on pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics, and intensive early therapy for HIV remission in infants, while her co-PI role in the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS) tracks longitudinal effects in over 4,000 mother-infant pairs and young adults. She integrates clinical care with global health initiatives through physician training in African nations.
Recent publications reveal critical trends in bone health deterioration among HIV-positive youth, nutritional biomarkers affecting pregnancy outcomes, safety profiles of novel antiretrovirals like bictegravir during gestation, and substance use patterns in perinatally infected adolescents.
