Ellen E. Joyce is an Associate Professor of History at Beloit College, specializing in medieval European history and digital humanities. She holds a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from the University of Toronto and a Yale undergraduate degree in Humanities.
Research & Teaching: Her work focuses on the medieval church’s cultural influence, visionary experiences in monastic contexts, and pre-print literacy. Courses include medieval manuscripts, Mediterranean history, and digital exhibit creation.
