Ellen Damm

Dr. Ellen Damm is a Researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI), specializing in Permafrost Research within the Polar Terrestrial Environmental Systems faculty. Her primary research focuses on trace gases in sea ice and ocean systems, particularly their interactions with permafrost environments. She coordinates the Mosaic BGC project and contributes to long-term observational studies on permafrost dynamics and greenhouse gas emissions. Dr. Damm is affiliated with the Permafrost Research group, addressing topics such as biogeochemical processes, energy/water fluxes, and coastal permafrost stability.
