Miss Ella Ackroyd is a part-time Doctoral Teaching Assistant and PhD student in the School of Biological and Marine Sciences (Faculty of Science and Engineering) at the University of Plymouth, UK. Her doctoral research investigates “The Role of Individual Heterogeneity in Group-Living Fishes”, placing her work at the intersection of behavioural ecology and marine biology.
Research interests centre on how consistent differences among individual fish shape group dynamics, with broader implications for understanding collective behaviour, predator–prey interactions, and the evolution of sociality in aquatic environments.
