Prof. Dr. Elke Wild is a distinguished Professor for Educational Psychology at Bielefeld University's Faculty of Psychology and Sport Science, where she has served since 2000. She currently holds the position of Dean of the Faculty (since 2021) and Spokesperson of the Faculty Council (since 2023). Her work spans research, teaching, and leadership, with a focus on inclusive education, family-school collaboration, and pedagogical-psychological training.
Wild's research interests center on Motivational Research, Inclusion Research, and Family and Youth Research. She has led major projects like the Bielefelder Fortbildungskonzept zur Kooperation in inklusiven Schulen (BiFoKi) and the Bielefelder Längsschnittstudie zum Lernen in inklusiven und exklusiven Förderarrangements (BiLieF), examining reciprocal effects between student self-concept and performance in inclusive settings.
Her scientific contributions include collaborations on inclusive teaching practices, parental involvement, and teacher training programs. She has co-edited journals like ZeHf - Journal for Empirical Higher Education Research and Unterrichtsforschung, and authored interdisciplinary works on educational psychology and family dynamics.
Wild actively participates in academic governance as a member of the University Council of Goethe University Frankfurt, the Quality Pact for Teaching selection committee, and the German Society for Psychology board. She has held leadership roles including Vice Rector for Organizational Development at Bielefeld University (2003-2006).
