Elke Naumann

Elke Naumann is a Research Professor at HAN University of Applied Sciences, where she leads the Lectorate of Nutrition, Dietetics and Lifestyle. Her research investigates the role of dietitians in evolving healthcare systems, nutritional innovation, and lifestyle interventions for healthy aging. She emphasizes collaborative data collection from clinical practice to evaluate dietary effectiveness, working closely with professionals and educators to advance dietetics.

Research Focus: Her work targets malnutrition mitigation, elderly health optimization, and interprofessional strategies in community healthcare. Key projects include:

• GLP-1 agonisten: Analyzing real-world impacts of weight-loss medications.
• ProBUS: Enhancing elderly quality of life post-hip fracture via protein-enriched diets and strength training.
• MOCIA: Multidisciplinary lifestyle programs for cognitive health in aging populations.
• SCOOP: Screening malnutrition/obesity in COVID-19 patients.

Naumann also holds editorial roles, including coordinating the EFAD Journal and leading the adult section of the Malnutrition Steering Group.
