Elizaveta Ebner is a PhD student and Teaching Assistant at the Chair of Educational History and Educational Policy Analysis, University of Zurich (since 2024), under Prof. Dr. Christian Ydesen. Her roles include research and teaching in education policy analysis with an interdisciplinary focus on historical and comparative perspectives.
Education: MPhil in Comparative and International Education from the University of Oslo (2016–2018). Research focuses on international education policies, human rights education, and global citizenship.
Experience: Project Manager/Advisor (2018–2024) focusing on international education and capacity building. Key roles include:
- Research Advisor for the Council of Europe (2021–2022), evaluating policy implementation.
- UNESCO Project Assistant (2017) in Education for Sustainable Development.
- Research Assistant at the University of Tampere (2018).
Research Interests: Historical and contemporary dynamics of education policies in international organizations, human rights education integration, and global citizenship frameworks. Her work critiques governance mechanisms in education through a North-South comparative lens.
Publications: Focus on SDG 4.7, European citizenship education policies, and democratic competencies. Recent work highlights tensions between universal rights frameworks and localized educational practices.
