Elizabeth Trubey is an Associate Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs and Professor of Instruction at Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. from Northwestern University and has served in academic advising roles, including Assistant Dean for Academic Advising. Her teaching and research focus on American literature, with emphasis on gender, identity, and contemporary issues in higher education. She specializes in 19th-century sentimental fiction and women readers, as evidenced by her dissertation 'I felt like the girls in books': Sentimental Readership in America, 1850-1870. Her publications include analyses of works like Warner's The Wide, Wide World, Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin, and Evans's St. Elmo.
