Elizabeth Sanchez-Denton

Elizabeth Sanchez-Denton is a Lecturer at the Journalism & Public Relations department within the College of Liberal Arts at California State University, Long Beach. With over two decades of experience as a television journalist, she has worked as a national correspondent for CBS News, covering major events such as the space shuttle Columbia crash and the death of Michael Jackson. She has also served as an anchor and investigative reporter in Charlotte, Phoenix, and San Diego, and hosted a national PBS parenting show.

• Education: B.A. from California State University, Long Beach; M.A. in Journalism with an emphasis on interactive media from University of Missouri
• Current Roles: Freelance reporter for CBS 8 in San Diego; co-owner of a television production company with her husband

Her research and professional interests span journalism, broadcast media, interactive media, and public relations. She combines her academic work with practical media production, focusing on broadcast and digital content creation.
