Elizabeth Muenks

Liz M. Muenks, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She serves as the Clinical Director of Psychology Services for Hematologic Malignancies and Cellular Therapeutics (HMCT) Division, specializing in psychosocial care for cancer patients, families, and caregivers.

  • PhD in Clinical Psychology from Saint Louis University
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship in Psycho-Oncology at Siteman Cancer Center

Her work integrates cancer psychology with diversity and cultural competence research, focusing on health disparities. She chairs the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Diversity Committee and contributes to institutional diversity initiatives through the KUMC Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Dr. Muenks provides clinical services at multiple locations including Marillac Campus, Medical Pavilion, and The University of Kansas Cancer Center. She is licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board and accepts various insurance plans.
