Elizabeth Mesok is a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Basel's Faculty of Humanities, Department of Social Sciences, and an SNF PRIMA Grantee at the Center for Gender Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in American Studies (NYU, 2013) and an M.A. in Politics (NYU, 2007). Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University (2013–2015) and a Visiting Assistant Professor at NYU (2015–2016).
Her research examines the intersections of gender, militarism, and security, with a focus on feminist and critical theoretical frameworks. Key interests include:
