Elizabeth Kelley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Queens University and leads the Autism Spectrum Disorder Studies Lab. Her work focuses on developmental pathways in autism, including depression in adolescents, early interventions, and neurodivergent strengths. She holds a B.A. from York University (2000), an M.A. from the University of Connecticut (2002), and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Connecticut (2006).
Her research spans autism subtypes, neuroimaging biomarkers, and mental health outcomes in neurodivergent populations. Recent studies explore sensory processing, social cognition, and structural brain differences in autism and ADHD. She has contributed to transdiagnostic frameworks linking molecular pathways to clinical subgroups.
Key themes in her work include the interplay between developmental trajectories and neurobiological factors, with a focus on early childhood predictors of later outcomes. Her lab collaborates internationally on projects like CRISIS AFAR, examining pandemic impacts on neurodivergent youth mental health.
