معرفی
Elizabeth Griffith is an Associate Professor at Ohio State University specializing in geochemical tracers and paleoclimate research. Her laboratory focuses on biogeochemical cycling in oceans using non-traditional stable isotopes (Ca, Sr) combined with traditional paleoclimate proxies. She leads research on reconstructing marine biological processes during past climate events.
Research Interests: Dr. Griffith employs geochemical techniques to study Earth's climate history, with particular expertise in calcium isotope applications and marine sediment analysis. Her work bridges paleoceanography with modern climate challenges.
Student Advising: Successfully mentored PhD candidate Samantha Carter and graduate students Ji-Eun Kim, Brandon, and Brittan. Current projects include marine barium cycle modeling and Cretaceous sediment analysis.
Recent Publications: Authored the Cambridge Element on Calcium Isotopes and maintains an active publication record in high-impact journals. Research funded by NSF and NASA grants supporting fieldwork and analytical development.
