Elizabeth Green

Elizabeth Green is an Associate Professor at Steward Observatory, University of Arizona. Her research focuses on the structure, formation, and evolution of hot subdwarf stars—compact He-core burning stars that have lost their envelopes prematurely.

These stars, often found in binary systems, exhibit multimode pulsations (p- and g- modes) and are analyzed through asteroseismology. Dr. Green collaborates with researchers from Montreal, Toulouse, and other institutions, organizing extensive photometric campaigns for state-of-the-art data collection.

Her work includes two complementary surveys investigating atmospheric parameters and binary characteristics of subdwarf stars, aiding in deciphering their diverse formation channels. This research advances the understanding of stellar evolution and binary star interactions in subdwarf populations.
