Dr. Elizabeth Dunlop serves as a Lecturer in Management in the School of Business at Charles Sturt University. With over a decade of international teaching experience across Australia, China, and Cambodia, she excels in adapting pedagogical approaches for diverse cultural contexts and student cohorts. Her academic journey is rooted in the university where she earned her PhD and undergraduate honors degree.
Her educational background includes:
- Doctor of Philosophy in Marketing (Charles Sturt University, 2015)
- Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education
- Bachelor of Business (Honours) in International Business Management/Chinese Business (Charles Sturt University, 2006)
Dunlop's research program is bifurcated into two interconnected streams: ethical consumerism and corporate social responsibility, and knowledge management and innovation. She pioneered studies on third-party consumer punishment behaviors in response to corporate ethical transgressions, establishing links between perceived injustice and punitive actions. More recently, she investigates how psychological capital and knowledge sharing mechanisms drive breakthrough innovation in digitally transforming organizations, particularly within Chinese taxation sectors.
Her 10 publications since 2006 reveal a strategic shift from foundational ethical consumerism research to contemporary knowledge innovation studies. The early works (2006-2020) established theoretical frameworks for understanding consumer ethics, while her current research (2022-2025) applies these insights to organizational knowledge dynamics, demonstrating consistent methodological rigor across international settings.
As a registered supervisor, Dunlop mentors graduate researchers though specific advisees remain undisclosed. Her academic service includes developing teaching materials for international programs and participating in symposia on business education. Beyond campus, she leverages her expertise as Ugandan Liaison Manager for the Irene Gleeson Foundation, designing cross-cultural partnership initiatives that advance the charity's mission in Uganda.
