Elizabeth Cohen is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Liberal Arts Department at Montserrat College of Art, joining in 2013. She teaches humanities courses and has experience in interdisciplinary education at Montserrat’s Studio for Experiential Learning and Tufts University. Additionally, she works at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies, supporting faculty in online student engagement strategies. Her research focuses on how mourning and trauma manifest in public spaces and media.
Education: B.A. in English Literature and Visual Arts from Bennington College; M.F.A. in Film, Video, New Media, and Animation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Cohen is an artist, filmmaker, and writer, with production credits in award-winning independent and experimental films. She contributes to Montserrat’s Liberal Arts Division and maintains affiliations with adjunct roles across multiple institutions.
