Elizabeth Blood is a Professor of French in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Salem State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Romance Literatures from Boston College and has taught French language, literature, and culture courses at all levels. Her roles include Faculty Fellow for First Year Experience and academic advisor for the French Summer Program in Quebec.

Research Interests focus on:
- Foreign language pedagogy with innovative materials like the textbook Intrigue
- Quebec and Franco-American cultural studies, including identity construction in diaspora
- Translation projects of French-Canadian texts into English
- 18th-century European theater adaptation and authorship

Publications & Projects include co-authoring Je me souviens (2015) and curating the French-Canadian Heritage Collection digital archive. She also co-created a public history project documenting Franco-American heritage in Salem, Massachusetts.
