Elizabeth Anderson is an Adjunct Professor of English at Cumberland University, where she teaches Freshman Composition and contributes to the Dual Enrollment program. She also holds teaching roles at Belmont University and Nashville State Community College, and previously taught at Middle Tennessee State University. Her expertise spans late 19th to 20th century American literature and composition, with a focus on pedagogical approaches in education.
Ms. Anderson holds an A.A. from Nashville State Community College, B.S. and B.A. from Middle Tennessee State University, an M.A.Ed. from Austin Peay State University (2006), and an M.A. in English from Middle Tennessee State University (2019). She has over 13 years of teaching experience, including nine years in K-12 education before transitioning to college-level instruction in 2010.
Her research interests emphasize the intersection of literature and pedagogy, with a commitment to advancing educational methodologies. Ms. Anderson is actively pursuing a Ph.D. and maintains memberships in multiple professional and honorary organizations. She resides in Nashville with her calico cats Sophie and Lando.
