Elizabeth Anderson Fletcher

Elizabeth Anderson Fletcher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Decision and Information Sciences at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, with a joint faculty appointment in the Hobby School of Public Affairs. She serves as Faculty Director of Bauer Honors, Director of Accreditation at the Hobby School, and Associate Director of the UH First Responder Program in the Department of Psychology.

Her recent publications reflect a strong interdisciplinary focus, bridging business operations with public health and emergency services. Themes include mindfulness in crisis response, mental wellness in first responders, and quality management across healthcare and service sectors. Her work combines empirical analysis with practical implementation in real-world settings.

Dr. Anderson-Fletcher has advised multiple research projects and grants, including serving as project director for the First Responder Mental Health and Wellness grant from the Texas Office of the Governor. She has also contributed to national curriculum development for fire department behavioral health. Her dual expertise in supply chain operations and mental health implementation supports innovative cross-sector research.

She is actively involved in the Cypress Creek Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and Captain, where she leads the mental wellness program as Safety Officer and Chaplain. This field experience deeply informs her academic work and community engagement.
