Elissa Redmiles

Elissa Redmiles is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgetown University's College of Arts & Sciences. Her research focuses on understanding human behavior in cybersecurity, privacy, and the societal impacts of AI and digital technologies. She is particularly known for her work on digital safety for marginalized communities, including sex workers and content creators, as well as ethical challenges in AI-generated media.
