Elise Forier Edie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre at Whitworth University, joined in 2024. She specializes in scriptwriting, devising, children’s theater, and theater education. Certified as a Meisner Instructor and a Rasaboxes Associate, she also participates in the Open for Antiracism (OFAR) program.
- Education: MFA from the University of Arizona, BA from the University of Chicago
Her research focuses on integrating Rasaboxes methodology into youth performance training and antiracist practices in theater education. Notable works include the award-winning children’s play John Henry and the horror screenplay Lisa.

Her publication Freeing Emotional Expression... (2024) explores Rasaboxes in K-12 contexts.
