Elise David is a Researcher at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA) within the School of Exact and Natural Sciences. She is affiliated with the UMR-I 02 SEBIO unit and serves as a DDRSE Ambassador for the unit, a member of its Unit Council, and former Facilitator of the Energy and Metabolism axis (2015–2023). Her academic roles include Director of Studies and Head of the 2nd year of the Master's in Risks and Environment, Biodiversity, Health, as well as teaching responsibilities across L3, M1, and M2 units.
- Researcher at UMR-I 02 SEBIO (URCA)
- Director of Studies for the Master's in Risks and Environment
- Elected member of multiple academic commissions (CNU, Master Commission, DDRSE Commission)
Her research focuses on aquatic ecotoxicology, ecophysiology, and biomarker development in ecosystems exposed to anthropogenic stressors such as chemical contaminants, temperature variations, and hypoxia. She investigates:
- Candidate genes in detoxification and antioxidant systems
- Energy metabolism pathways (ATP synthesis, mitochondrial and glycolysis genes)
- Biochemical responses (mitochondrial electron transport, energy nucleotides)
- Comparative ecotoxicological responses in sympatric dreissenid species
