Emilie Lance

Emilie Lance is a Researcher affiliated with the UMR-I 02 SEBIO unit at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne. Her research focuses on environmental stressors in aquatic ecosystems, particularly the study of cyanotoxins and cyanopeptides through multidisciplinary approaches.

• Primary Affiliation: UMR-I 02 SEBIO (Environmental Stress and BIOmonitoring of aquatic environments)
• Locations: Reims campus (Moulin de la Housse, Building 18) and Le Havre campus (Biology building, Lebon site)

Research Interests:

• Ecodynamic and Biomonitoring: Investigates cyanotoxin occurrence, bioaccumulation, and trophic transfer in natural environments using sentinel organisms like filter-feeding bivalves.
• Health-Environment: Develops methods for quantifying cyanotoxins in human-consumed organisms and collaborates with water managers on diagnostics for contaminated recreational/drinking water sources.
• Ecotoxicological: Assesses structural/functional disturbances in aquatic organisms caused by cyanotoxins using metabolomics tools, with prior focus on invertebrates and vertebrates.

Teaching Responsibilities:

• L3: Coordinator for SE604 "Aquatic Ecology" and SE504 "Population Ecology"
• M1: Coordinator for BSE803 "Evaluation of biocenotic impacts" and "Biodiversity Estimation Methods"
• Co-head of the second year of the Life and Earth Sciences degree, specializing in Plant Biology, Biotechnologies, Oenology, and Environmental Sciences
