Dr. Elisavet Mantzari is an Associate Professor in Accounting at the Department of Accounting, Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, where she has been a faculty member since September 2016.

Her research centers on critical accounting theory, international financial reporting standards (IFRS), sustainability and social accounting, and accountability in cooperatives. Her work often employs critical theoretical frameworks, including classical Marxism, to analyze the role of accounting in legitimizing dominant economic systems.
