Elisabetta Pasquini is a Full Professor at the University of Bologna’s Department of the Arts, specializing in Musicology and Music History. She teaches courses on 17th-18th century music, instrument history, and orchestral development. Her research focuses on critical editions of Baroque and Romantic-era compositions, including works by Giambattista Martini, Giovanni Battista Bassani, and Saverio Mercadante. She co-directs the 'Tesori musicali emiliani' series and edited the critical edition of Mercadante’s opera Francesca da Rimini, staged internationally. Pasquini is also editor-in-chief of Artes – Rivista di arte, letteratura e musica and an honorary member of the Accademia Filarmonica in Bologna (2023).
