Elisabeth Weissensteiner

Elisabeth Weissensteiner is a Researcher at the University of Vienna, affiliated with the research group 'Prehistoric Phenomena'. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Digital Humanities (since 2024) and serves as a study assistant to Prof. Katharina Rebay-Salisbury.

Her research interests span the Neolithic and Bronze Age in Southeast Europe and Southwest Asia, focusing on stamps, seals, and digital visualization. Recent work applies AI to archaeological classification and digital reconstruction, as seen in her 2023-2024 publications.

Grants and Collaborations: Funded by a University of Vienna travel grant (2023) for a Harvard study visit. Collaborates with institutions in Austria, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, and Greece.
