Elisabeth Luggauer

Elisabeth Luggauer is a post-doc researcher at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin's Institute for European Ethnology (IfEE), with a PhD from the University of Graz. She co-convenes the colleex network and serves as the Women's and Equal Rights Representative at IfEE since 2024.

• Research: Focuses on urban multispecies coexistence, climate crisis ethnography, and thermal politics in cities like Podgorica and Las Vegas

Her work combines multimodal ethnography and experimental field methods, supported by the colleex network. Recent publications examine heat resilience, air conditioning practices, and Southeastern European urbanism. She leads fieldwork in Berlin, Graz, and Montenegro while affiliated with the ERC WAVEMATTERS project on urban vibrations.
