Dr Elisabeth Kramer is an Adjunct Professor and Honorary Associate in the School of Languages and Culture at the University of Sydney. She serves as Deputy Director of the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre (SSEAC) and actively contributes to multiple academic networks including the Asian Studies Association of Australia and the Anti-Corruption Solutions Network.
Elisabeth holds a PhD from the University of Sydney (2011–2014), supported by an Australian Postgraduate Award. Her research focuses on Indonesian politics and policy, with specialties in anticorruption mechanisms, tobacco control, opioid policy, and disability inclusion. She has taught Indonesian Studies, Asian Studies, and Government & International Relations courses, leading field schools in Southeast Asia.
Her work bridges academia and activism, exemplified by her award-winning monograph *The Candidate's Dilemma* (2022), which explores money politics and anticorruption narratives in Indonesian elections. Recent projects examine tobacco regulation in decentralized Indonesia and disability activists' political engagement.

Her interdisciplinary approach integrates public policy, social advocacy, and cultural analysis to address complex governance challenges in Southeast Asia.
