Dr. Elisabeth Härtig is a Group Leader at the Institute of Microbiology, Technical University of Braunschweig, leading research groups on Bacillus subtilis and Dinoroseobacter shibae. Her work focuses on anaerobic life regulation and bacterial adaptation to environmental stressors. She holds a PhD from the Karlsruhe Nuclear Research Center (1993) and has over 30 years of research experience.
- Current roles: Group Leader (since 2002 for B. subtilis; since 2014 for D. shibae)
- Research expertise: Anaerobic respiration, bacterial regulatory networks, iron/oxygen deficiency adaptation
