Claus Artur Scheier

Prof. Claus Artur Scheier is a Professor of Philosophy at the Technical University of Braunschweig (Carolo-Wilhelmina University of Technology), holding positions since 1982. He also served as Secretary General of Braunschweig's Scientific Association (1990–2012). His research focuses on German Idealism, Classical Philosophy, anti-metaphysical thought, and Phenomenology, with collaborations at the Niedersächsisches Forschungskolleg Kulturphilosophie.

Born in 1942, he earned dual PhDs in Medicine (1968) and Philosophy (1972), followed by Habilitation (1979). Notable works include commentaries on Hegel and Nietzsche, as well as editions of philosophical texts like the 6-volume Nietzsche collection (2013).

His articles span topics from Hegelian dialectics to modern media theory, reflecting a career blending historical philosophy with contemporary cultural critique.
