Elisabeth Egholm Jacobsen

Elisabeth Egholm Jacobsen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at NTNU, specializing in organic chemistry and biocatalysis. Her research focuses on synthesizing biologically active molecules using enzyme-catalyzed methods, particularly enantiomerically pure drugs via kinetic resolution or asymmetric synthesis. She has led EU projects like GreenCAM (2019–2022) and contributes to the European Society of Applied Biocatalysis (ESAB), serving as Treasurer since 2023. Jacobsen teaches organic chemistry courses for technology students and advanced organic synthesis laboratory modules.
