Elisabet Rothenberg is a Professor of Geriatric Nutrition at Kristianstad University's Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing Education and Integrated Health Sciences. She leads the Food and Meals Subject Group within the Food and Meals in Everyday Life (MEAL) research center and is affiliated with the Center for Food Health and Retail at Kristianstad University (FOHRK).
Her research focuses on geriatric nutrition, particularly malnutrition in elderly populations, frailty-nutrition relationships, dietary patterns for older adults, and food systems in healthcare settings. Dr. Rothenberg has published extensively with over 342 publications and has an h-index of 32 with more than 5,106 citations. Her work significantly contributes to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
