Elisabet Eriksson is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gävle, School of Health and Welfare, and an associate researcher at Uppsala University. She holds a PhD in International Health and a Doctor of Medicine from Uppsala University, Sweden. Her research focuses on healthcare science and multicultural work environments in nursing homes.
Her research interests center on inclusion in working life for nurses educated outside the EU/EEA, well-being in healthcare professions, and communication challenges during pandemics in multicultural nursing home settings. She leads projects comparing licensure pathways for international nurses and analyzing pandemic-era communication dynamics.
