Elisa Tranfaglia is a Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bologna, where she has taught since 2013 and holds the chair of History of Architecture.
Her research focuses on exhibition design, architectural design, and urban planning, with specialization in urban renovation and redevelopment of existing structures. She promotes contemporary approaches in cultural heritage enhancement projects and curates exhibitions for museums and fairs across Europe. Her work integrates practical application with academic rigor in architectural theory and practice.
Professor Tranfaglia has designed significant projects including the Multimedia Museum at Imola Racetrack, Museum of the Risorgimento in Lucca, Biagi D'Antona Theatre renovation, and Ariosto's Enchanted Castle in Garfagnana. She specializes in tenders and project management for public clients, notably supporting the Regional Directorate for Cultural Heritage and Landscape of Emilia-Romagna in restoring Bologna's Ministry building. She maintains weekly office hours on Wednesdays from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM by appointment.
