Elisa Giuliani is a Full Professor of Business Economics and Management at the University of Pisa's Department of Economics and Management. She is Vice-Rector for Sustainability and Agenda 2030, founded the REMARC – Responsible Management Research Center, and coordinates the socio-economic curriculum for Italy’s National Doctorate in Sustainable Development and Climate Change. Her work focuses on innovation and economic development, including corporate social responsibility, multinational corporations’ human rights impacts, and sustainable finance.

Recent research includes measuring toxic content in industrial patents, analyzing corporate strategies with social/environmental harm, and a Horizon Europe project (2022-25) on democracy and capitalism. Her 15 most recent articles address topics spanning corporate wrongdoing, FDI impacts, green innovation, and human rights in global business. She edits Research Policy and serves on editorial boards of Business and Human Rights Journal, Economic Geography, and Journal of Economic Geography.
