Elisa Desirée Manetti

Elisa Desirée Manetti is a Researcher at the Department of Education and Learning of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), affiliated with the Competence Centre for the Teaching and Learning of Italian as a Language of Schooling (DILS). Her work focuses on Italian language education, reading comprehension, and the sociolinguistic context of Swiss Italian varieties. She contributes to projects analyzing regionalisms in Ticino schooling and PISA reading trends.

Research Interests:

• Development of lexical repertoires for Ticino regionalisms in education
• PISA data analysis for reading comprehension strategies
• Swiss Italian language perception in schools
• Digital writing practices in the 21st century
