Dr. Elinor Parks is a Lecturer in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures at Durham University. She specializes in intercultural communication and foreign language education, with a focus on German language studies and curriculum design. Her work explores the intersection of language and content in higher education, decolonizing language pedagogy, and critical interculturality within the Glocademia framework.
Education: B.A. and M.A. in German Literature from California State University, Long Beach (USA), followed by a PhD in Modern Languages at the University of Hull. Her doctoral research examined the impact of separating language and content on students' intercultural competence.
