Elinam Agbo is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing in the English Department at Bucknell University. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago and an MFA from the University of Michigan’s Helen Zell Writers’ Program. Born in Agona Swedru, Ghana, and raised in Sterling, Kansas, her work explores transnational experiences and speculative narratives.

Her research interests include speculative fiction, African diaspora literature, and coming-of-age narratives. Current projects involve a novel about shapeshifting mothers and a short story collection centering girlhood in Ghana and diaspora contexts. Her writing has been published in Apogee, American Short Fiction, and Nimrod, among others.

Agbo co-founded MQR Mixtape, an online imprint of the Michigan Quarterly Review, and is a Clarion Workshop graduate. Her articles often blend speculative elements with themes of cultural identity, migration, and personal history.
