Elina Elvelo

Elina Elvelo is a researcher at the Department of Chemistry, Stockholm University, and a member of the Hanna Boström group. Her work focuses on crystal engineering and structure-property relationships in coordination polymers, particularly metal-cyanide frameworks.

Elina holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Uppsala University (2023), with specializations in

• Advanced synthesis

Her master thesis, "Chromia-Alumina Thin Films from Alkoxide Precursors - From Precursor Synthesis to Deposition and Material Characterisation", was conducted in collaboration with industry partners Sandvik Coromant and Seco Tools under an SSF-project.

She has also contributed to sodium-ion battery research at Ångström Advanced Battery Centre (ÅABC), where she explored prussian blue analogues (PBA). Her current PhD research at Stockholm University investigates the spin-crossover phenomenon in PBAs, aligning with her industry experience in battery technology and thin films.
