Elin Gardeström

Elin Gardeström is an Associate Professor of Journalism and program manager for the Journalism with Social Studies program at Södertörn University College. She is affiliated with the Department of Social Sciences and combines practical and theoretical teaching in journalism education.

She previously held a postdoc scholarship from the Ridderstad Foundation (2013-2017) for research on advertising's interaction with propaganda in 1930s Sweden.

Defending her thesis Att fostra journalister: The formation of journalistic education in Sweden 1944-1970 in 2011, she has taught history of ideas at Södertörn University College and worked professionally as a journalist.
