Eliana Vitale is a Research Fellow at the University of Catania's Department of Humanities, specializing in Modern and Contemporary Italian Literature, Digital Humanities, and Authorial Philology. Her work focuses on textual analysis of 20th-21st century Italian poetry, lexicography, and digital editions of literary works.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Interpretation Sciences from the University of Catania (2023) with a thesis analyzing Italian poetry from 1976-2005. She has been actively involved in major digital humanities projects including the National Digital Edition of Luigi Pirandello's Complete Works and the ALPION Lexicographic Archive for Italian Poetry.
Vitale's research spans three interconnected domains:
