Eli Nelken

Prof. Eli Nelken is a Professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences. His research investigates stimulus-specific adaptation (SSA) in the auditory system - a neural response reduction phenomenon to frequent stimuli. His work examines SSA mechanisms across species, cortical circuit foundations, and computational modeling of adaptation processes.
