Eleonora Matteazzi is a Temporary Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Verona. She holds a PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of Verona and a joint PhD in Economic Sciences from Université de Cergy-Pontoise. She is affiliated with the Global Labor Organization, and associated with the Economix research center at Université Paris Nanterre and the OFCE at Sciences Po Paris. Her research focuses on labor economics, family economics, gender economics, and applied microeconometrics, with particular attention to intra-household allocation, wage differentials, and household production models.
She teaches modules in International Economic Policy, Microeconomics (advanced), and Network Economics across various Master's and Bachelor's programs. Her research projects include studies on family decision-making models, the economic impact of household structures, and intergenerational transmission of employment conditions. She is part of research laboratories such as VELE (Verona Experimental Lab in Economics) and contributes to centers like CRIEP (Interdepartmental Research Center on Public Economics) and CIDE (Interuniversity Center for Econometrics).
Her work explores topics like gender wage gaps, time allocation between work and family, and the role of family policies in shaping labor market outcomes. She has published extensively on these topics, including analyses of motherhood wage penalties, intergenerational employment legacies, and the economic determinants of educational investments.
