Eleonora La Spada is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in International Relations at the University of Strathclyde since May 2023. She previously taught at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and University College Dublin (UCD), specializing in International Relations, Human Rights, and Conflict Dynamics. She earned her PhD in Political Science and International Relations from TCD in 2021 under Prof. Jesse Dillon-Savage.
Research Interests
- Conflict studies and dynamics, including bargaining processes and violence escalation
- Ethnic conflicts and self-determination disputes
- Gender and radicalization in political movements
- Impact of within-movement fragmentation on state responses
Publications focus on strategic repression, movement fragmentation, and negotiation dynamics in conflict zones. Recent work includes analyzing the Bodo Movement in Assam and the role of concessions in conflict escalation.
