Dr. Eleni Malissova is a Lecturer and Director of Recruitment and Admissions at the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences, Cardiff University. A qualified optometrist in both Greece and the UK, she completed her PhD at Cardiff University in 2015 with research focused on structural and functional progression in glaucoma. Her academic career has progressed from PhD student and Clinical Demonstrator (2008-2015) to Clinical Tutor (2021-2022) and currently Lecturer (2022-present).

She believes academic knowledge must go hand-in-hand with clinical experience to provide students with a holistic perspective of the optometry profession.
