Eleni Gavriil

Eleni Gavriil is a Lecturer in International Economic Law and Human Rights at Neapolis University Pafos, Cyprus. She is affiliated with the Department of History, Politics and International Studies and leads the NUP Human Rights Observatory. Her research focuses on the intersection of international investment law, human rights, and European law, particularly in contexts involving foreign direct investments and societal challenges.

Educated at the European Law and Governance School (PhD, 202?), National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (LLB), and Neapolis University Paphos (LLM), she is also an Attorney-at-Law with the Athens Bar Association.

Her work bridges legal frameworks and socio-economic issues, addressing topics like investor-state disputes, property rights protection, and disinformation dynamics in Cyprus. Recent publications examine human rights implications in investment agreements and digital misinformation's societal impacts.

She directs the NUP Human Rights Observatory, fostering interdisciplinary research on rights-related legal challenges.
