Elena Losada Soler is a full-time Professor of Portuguese Literature at the University of Barcelona, affiliated with the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures and English Studies. She is a researcher at ADHUC—Research Center for Theory, Gender, and Sexuality—and served as director of the UNESCO Chair in Women, Development, and Cultures (2015-2018). Her career spans over three decades, focusing on gender, violence, and representation in 19th-century Iberian literature, women's crime fiction, and translation studies.
