Elena Garlatti is a Fixed-term Researcher at the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences, University of Parma. She holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Milan (2014) and has been a Visiting Scientist at ISIS Neutron and Muon Source (UK). Her research focuses on theoretical models for magnetic molecules, targeting applications in quantum information processing.
- Developed Master Equations method for interpreting NMR data
- Principal Investigator for PRISM and PRIN 2022-CROQUET projects
- Collaborated on ERC-Synergy CASTLE project
Her work involves characterizing magnetic molecules using neutron/X-ray spectroscopy, ab-initio phonon simulations, and quantum error correction schemes. She has 34 peer-reviewed publications (13 as first author) and serves as a referee for international journals.
Recent publications highlight her contributions to molecular spin qudits, chirality-induced spin selectivity, and decoherence mitigation. She has designed experiments for phonon analysis in molecular qubits and is involved in NQSTI's quantum science initiatives.
- Recipient of Angelo Della Riccia Foundation fellowship
- Co-investigator at ILL (France) and PSI (Switzerland)
