Elena Dahl

Elena Dahl is an Associate Professor of Art at Wittenberg University, specializing in photography and visual art. Their creative practice integrates physically and digitally manipulated photographs, text, and film to explore queer historical revisions and speculative fictions. As a queer artist and educator, they approach photography as a medium for liberation and speculative world-building.

They hold an MFA in Photography from the University of Florida (2013) and have participated in artist residencies including ACRE (Chicago) and Home Base Projects (Berlin). Their work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, such as at Filter Space in Chicago's 'Context 2018' exhibition, and is held in the permanent collection of the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art in San Bernardino, CA.
